Every Friday, unless told otherwise, they are dedicated to physical fitness. These days help build up the morale within the companies through team building and cooperation. Once a semester we complete a Cadet Challenge, that consists of a 1 mile run, 1 minute sit ups and push ups, the v-sit and the shuttle run. The uniform for Friday's during class is the PT uniform.
At the end of each semester, JROTC cadet fitness is tested with the Cadet Challenge where cadets participate in 5 events, including a mile run, a shuttle run, pull-ups, curl-ups, and the v-sit reach. Based on the result of the cadet's score on the events, a cadet may be awarded with a certificate, patch, medal, and ribbons. The key is scoring 50-85% or higher on every event, reference Cadet Challenge Scoring for further information. Remember to keep improving mental and physical well-being to do your best.
